A check-in visit provides more than just a quick hello — it offers companionship, consistency, and peace of mind for both seniors and their families. Many older adults spend long stretches of time alone, especially during the day, and having a familiar face stop by each week gives them something meaningful to look forward to.
Our visits help encourage social connection, conversation, routine, and emotional well-being, while also giving loved ones a comforting visual and verbal update after each visit. Even for seniors who are independent, families often appreciate knowing someone is checking in regularly and noticing if something feels “off.” Sometimes, it’s simply about helping someone feel remembered, connected, and cared for.
Each visit is scheduled for approximately 15 minutes — plenty of time to chat, play a game, enjoy a favorite beverage, and complete a casual wellness check-in. All visits take place outside the residence on the front step or porch, creating a comfortable and relaxed environment while still respecting personal space. We recommend setting out two chairs so everyone can relax and enjoy each other’s company.
Our check-ins are designed to provide peace of mind, meaningful companionship, and something to look forward to each week. The personalized video updates offer loved ones a comforting visual and verbal wellness check-in after each visit. While our services focus on connection and social well-being, they are not intended to provide medical care, hands-on caregiving, or personal assistance services. However, we will always do our best to be accommodating, so please let us know if there is something specific you would like us to casually check on, monitor, or communicate during a visit.
No — this is not a medical service. Our visits are designed to provide companionship, social connection, and peace of mind through friendly check-ins and personalized video updates for loved ones. We do not provide medical care, hands-on caregiving, medication management, transportation, or personal assistance services. However, we are happy to accommodate reasonable requests for casual observation or updates whenever possible.
Before visits begin, we’ll ask about your loved one’s favorite coffee, tea, or special beverage preference — complimentary with each visit! We will go to Starbucks, Dunkin Donuts, or a coffee shop local to them. We’re happy to mix things up from time to time and personalize each check-in to make it feel warm, familiar, and something they can genuinely look forward to.
Yes! Our weekly and bi-weekly plans can be canceled anytime. We simply finish out the current monthly billing cycle, and your plan will end with no cancellation fees or long-term commitment.
Our One-Time Check-In and Surgery Recovery Check-In packages are billed as a single flat fee and do not include any recurring payments or subscriptions.
Most check-ins are personally completed by the owner, Mariah, to help provide a familiar and consistent experience for families and loved ones. When additional team members assist with visits, all are trusted local community members and parents who have successfully completed background checks.
We thoughtfully match each client with the same companion for ongoing visits whenever possible, helping build comfort, familiarity, and genuine connection over time.
At this time, Medicare and Medicaid typically do not cover companion care services like ours. Because our visits are focused on companionship, social connection, wellness check-ins, and family peace of mind — rather than medical or hands-on personal care — they are generally considered private-pay services.
